COMMUNITY SERVICE BANKING

State Bank of Travancore, as a socially responsible corporate citizen, has been undertaking several social welfare measures like adoption of girl children for their education, adoption of villages for community service, blood donation. The bank has been donating Ambulances to Hospitals at major centres.

In Mumbai, the Bank contributed an ambulance to M/s Bethany Trust, Thane at a function held at The Club,,D.N.Nagar, Andheri (West), Mumbai on 10 ^th May 2010.  Shri Amitabh Bachchan was the chief guest at the formal handing over of an ambulance to Dr. Stephen Alfred, Chairman, M/s.  Bethany Trust.

Sri. S.Balachandran, Chief General Manager,welcomed the Guests and the Chief guest.  Sri. Amithabh Bachchan, who  delivered the keys to the trustee, congratulated and complemented the bank for discharging the social responsibility and for the charity activities. Dr. A,K,Singh, Deputy General Manager, Mumbai  proposed vote of thanks.  The programme was well attended by media persons of Mumbai centre.
